Chocolate Chip cookies are the one food that can cheer you up on the even the worst day. They are warm and chewy and they just remind you of baking with grandma or you mom or whoever you loved to bake with most. I love chocolate chip cookies simply because they are warm and remind you of happy times!
Now I combined a few different recipes to conjure up this recipe. I love recipes from Your Cup of Cake. Lizzy has the best dessert recipes ever. So I took one of her cookie recipes and mixed it from one of my mom’s old chocolate chip recipes. The combination of these two recipes has given birth to the worlds best chocolate chip cookie recipe. They are warm, chewy, soft and absolutely perfect.
Lets Get Baking
Grab two bowls. Start by measuring out the flour.
Now for the other dry ingredients. Mix these all together well.
Now we are going to move to the butter mixture. Following this recipe is important for the consistency of the cookie.
Now mix the two mixtures together. Make sure the dough is firm and not sticky. Add more flour if needed. I usually don’t have to add any extra.
Now the best part..the chocolate chips. I like to use semi sweet, if you use milk chocolate don’t use as much sugar or the cookies might be a little too sweet (yes there is such a thing).
You can reserve some for the freezer, or bake them all together. Or eat the dough…but I will give you the salmonella spiel. Raw eggs can put you at risk for salmonella poisoning blah blah blah so eat the dough at your own risk.
Yummy! Now it is time to bake these bad boys. Pop them in at 350 for 8 minutes for chewy, soft cookies. If you want a crunchier cookie (why?) then keep in the oven for 3 more minutes.
