I believe strongly you are in charge of your feelings. Bad days will happen, that is a given. You can let bad news ruin your day, or you can focus on the bright side of things. Now I am not talking about drastic things like death, or a life changing event, those will ruin any day. I am talking about waking up on the wrong side of the bed and taking it out on your family or coworkers. You are in control of your day.
I wake up cranky pretty much everyday. I am not a morning person at all. There are some things I do to turn my day around.
Smiling is a great mood changer and it’s really hard to stay upset when your smiling.
Drink More Water
Drinking water boosts your energy levels creating more endorphins. Endorphins then in turn boost your happiness. When you don’t drink enough water you are tired, you can get a headache and no one has a good day with a headache.
Write a list of Goals
This helps you stay on task getting more done in the day. When you get things accomplished during the day you feel a whole lot better about yourself.
You have been sleeping all night and your going to be hungry when you wake up. I wake up hangry and ready for breakfast.
Listen to Music
Music is always a mood booster. There are receptors in our brains that respond to music, that are responsible for creating emotions.
Get some Fresh Air
Vitamin D will always boost your mood. It gives you time to breathe, relax and reflect on things.
Wear your favorite outfit
Looking good makes you feel good. Wear an outfit you know you can rock and feel good in. That always helps a bad day! Your day may be sucky but dang you look good!
Say things your grateful for
There is always something to be grateful for.
Shake it off
Don’t let things eat at you. Be mad, shake it off and let it go.
Learn something new/conquer a fear
This is another thing that helps you feel accomplished. You look forward to a new day when you have accomplished and learned something new.
