5 Thanksgiving outfit ideas you can put together last minute.
Thanksgiving is around the corner. It’s one of the best Holidays because you get to eat food and be with those you love. I am so grateful we live close to our families so Aria can run around with cousins while the adults reminisce.
When conjuring up an outfit for Thanksgiving know your dress code (dress code post here). If it is a fancier venue and you eat off china you are typically going to be dressing in your Sunday best. I still like to be comfortable while dressed up so look for clothes that stretch and cover. A cotton pencil skirt and sweater with booties is a great dressed up look.
If your family is like mine we like to keep things casual. We usually dress in jeans and a nice blouse or sweater. Comfortable but put together. These are the best types of dinners because it is relaxed, casual, and it usually ends in a few games of Cards Against Humanities or headbands.
You really just want to be comfortable and give your stomach room to grow. Brandon and I have two dinners that day. Our parents live across the street from each other so we have a lot of food that day. They are both so delicious and too good to pass up one or the other.
There are some families that do like to really dress up. I have friends that rent out fancy venues and have a huge catered and decorated event for their families. It is so fun to see her pictures and see the amazing center pieces and table settings of their dinner. In this setting you go a little bit over Sunday best. A gorgeous black dress will be perfect for this.
Last but not least your family really doesn’t care what you wear they just love to have you there. I have seen pinterest pictures of a pajama party thanksgiving and it looks actually pretty dreamy. They sit around the fire, watch movies and eat themselves into a turkey coma.
I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving. Remember what the holiday is about and please donate to your local food banks. There are so many needy people everyday but even more so around the holidays. You find out how to donate here.
