All of you should know by now I am a die hard Utes fan. I was raised on Utah football. My dad took me to my first game when I was 5, and that is when it all started.
I live, breathe and eat college football. Every year I look forward to the season. Hoping for a better more successful year that’s the fun in college football.
Whether it’s a home game or an away game I have a list of essentials that you may need.
Food is a requirement! You can’t watch a 3+ hour game without food. You can do a nacho bar, chili station or go simple with little finger foods like we like to do.
Veggies and Hummus are always a great way to celebrate the game. Simple, delicious and easy to clean up. Chips and salsa is my favorite thing to snack on during the game. It’s not a game without salsa. Tomatoes and cheese are another quick easy snack. They are healthy and taste delicious dipped in hummus. Flatbread or corn tortillas are another delicious item to set out for the game. Spread a little hummus and salsa on it and your ready for the game!
Going to games is so much fun, finding the right outfit..not so much. Game day is about spirit and team themed shirts. Most of these team spirit items are quite masculine. I found Game Day Couture one day browsing Instagram and fell in love with the chic and feminine items they offer branded with your favorite team logo! They have so many cute items like this one here, here and here. Right now they have a Black Friday Sale going on for 50% off. Use code BF50.
I fell in love with this top because it is long, loose, and really comfortable to wear to games.
Karli from Everyday Ellis and I teamed up to show you a couple of cute game day outfits. Go here to see how she styled her game day outfit.
I love watching games with my family. We enjoy getting together and eating any chance we can get. It’s nice that we all root for the same team so there isn’t bickering or bantering during the game. These rivalry games are so fun to host parties for.
I usually use this template for invitations (download here)
If you are actually going to the game the first and most important thing to do is check the weather. Utah gets really cold this time of year, sometimes rainy/snowy. You will want to be prepared for the weather.
Items you will need:
–Seat pads: bleachers are uncomfortable and cold.
–Blankets: These will keep you warm and you can use them as seat pads as well. I love taking Ute Minky Blankets. They are warm and soft and will keep you comfortable through cold games.
–Hand warmers: I love putting hand warmers in my gloves but my boots as well. These are essential for snowy/cold games.
Last but not least have fun! Even if your team is losing and they can’t make a touch down to save their lives, just have fun.
What are your game day essentials? What is your ride or die team?
