If your anything like me you like to save money where you can! But really, when we were saving for a house and had an outrageous car payment our makeup and clothing budget was minuscule or even nonexistent. I know there are dupe videos all over youtube and they inspired me to do this dupe for a high end.

Primers:

I have super dry skin so I need a moisturizing primer. A lot of people Love the Porefessional Primer by Benefit. I have tried it in the stores and the consistency is amazing but the price not so much. So I used to have the ELF Mineralizing primer as a dupe for this. And they both worked the exact same on my skin, they are not the same color or consistency, but they work the same under your makeup. But nowadays every brand has some kind of pore blending product and I have found this dupe for the porefessional.

Eye Primer:

Urban Decay: $20

I have tried both I am highly allergic to the Urban Decay primer… You can use the ELF eyelid primer that works pretty well. If you have oily lids set the primer with a eyeshadow that is close to your skin color.

Blush:

Nars Orgasm blush has been a favorite of pretty much anyone and everyone for a while now. I wanted a dupe for it because I lose blush almost as much as I lose lipgloss. There needed to be a cheaper blush I could use that I wouldn’t feel sick about losing. Again Elf met this need. They have really amazing products that are really inexpensive but don’t lack on quality.

Setting Powder:

 

Even if you have dry skin, you need to set your foundation. It locks in your foundation and helps it last all day long. Locking in your foundation with a setting powder will help the bendability of your blush and bronzer.

Everyone…Everyone is talking about the Laura Mercier translucent powder. It is a fantastic powder that I miss. I transitioned to cruelty-free and needed an alternative this elf setting powder is amazing especially for you dry skin ladies. Use a very small amount and dust lightly.

Eyeliner:

Kat Von D has amazing beauty products that I love and invest my money in. When I need something to travel with or I am in a budgeting bind I purchase the Physicians Formula eyeliner. It is not as pigmented, but it works just as well if you go over your line an extra time.

Lip Gloss

There are so many good lipglosses out there. Naked Lip Gloss from Urban Decay is a favorite of mine. I keep this lipgloss at home and travel with the perfect dupe the ELF lip oils.

Highlighter: 

Highlighters really took off these past few years. I feel like we went from no highlighter to 100 in a span of days.

I love highlighters because they give the skin a healthy glow. I love using it above my brow bone, my top lip, my cheekbones, and the tip of my nose.

Becca hands down has the most amazing highlighters. Vanilla Quartz is the most amazing shade for pale skin. Elf has a really great dupe called Pearl Glow it is gorgeous.

Bronzing Highlighter

Bronzing highlighter is a great addition to your bronzer. It gives you that perfect beach glow. Bronzing highlighter has more shimmer than your typical bronzer. Bronzers should be a matte finish, the bronzing highlighter is usually a shimmer finish. The two combined make a glorious combo.

Bronzer:

Bronzer really adds depth to your foundation. Think of it as shading in a painting or drawing. Even if you are fair a slight bronzing to shade your cheekbones will add so much more to your makeup. I used to feel that I was too fair for bronzers when I came across a sample of the Hoola bronzer. That changed my routine drastically.

I wanted to find a less expensive option for you guys that was just as gorgeous and Elf wins again.

Eyeshadow Palette:

The Huda Pallets are on fire right now. I love the obsessions pallet in mauve, it has the coolest colors and it is just gorgeous. When searching for a dupe I found this Morphe Pallet. I love morphe and their inexpensive but amazing, buttery eyeshadow. I love the color payoff it gives and I actually prefer it over some of my more hide end pallets.

Foundation:

Foundation is the well..foundation of your makeup. It holds things together, it smooths out the surface. The foundation is what makes or breaks your makeup look so you want something reliable. When you find a foundation that looks amazing on your skin, stick to it! Stock up on it and hold onto it as long as they make it.

I love Tarte and their foundation Rainforest of the Sea. It’s extremely hydrating and actually has a shade light enough for me. It is a light foundation with the perfect amount of coverage.

The Physicians Formula BB is a pretty close dupe to this. It’s a little lighter of a coverage but the way it looks on the skin is the same. I love the dewy finish it gives and when you use a highlighter on it, just adds to the gorgeous finish.
