A few years back I made this delicious granola bar recipe. It helped me with breakfast on the go. They are easy to grab and head to work, games, recitals, anything. Around the holidays you need simplicity and ease. These bars certainly aid in my constant need for simplicity!
When I bake granola bars I like to use the Quaker® Simply Granola Oats, Honey Raisin & Almonds. It gives my bars a delicious taste, they are crunchy and filling. It’s low sodium and isn’t packed with artificial fruits and flavors.
In a saucepan you are going to add your honey, butter and brown sugar. Cook this over low to medium heat until the butter is melted and the mixture is smooth. The sugar should be dissolved.
Remove mixture from heat and add the extract of your choice. I love almond extract.
Add in the Quaker® Simply Granola Oats, Honey Raisin & Almonds. Stir until everything is well mixed!
Pour mixture into lined baking sheet. Pressing the mixture into the pan. Smooth with spatula.
Chill for 2-3 hrs.
Pull mixture out of pan and cut into bars.
Set them out for your guests to enjoy!
