I was provided shopping credit to Jojo Maman Bebe in exchange for my post. All my opinions are my own. If I don’t like something I don’t post about it. Thank you Jojo Maman Bebe!
Bedtime..some days it’s an easy process, some days not so much. We have found that if we read Aria a few books, and sing her a few songs the process is much easier. Another key to her sleeping all night is to have her in comfortable pajama’s. One night I had her in a fleece sleep and she woke up twice because she was too hot, and she said her foot broke (the feet in the sleeper were twisted and pulled sideways).
We love shopping for pajamas at places like Carter’s and Kohl’s, but we have discovered Jojo Maman Bebe. Their pajamas are not only soft and comfortable but adorable and really well made. As a mom you know that if you spend a little more on an item you want to get a lot more out of it. Pass it on to younger kids.
Aria loves dinosaurs so when I came across this pair I had to snag it for our collection. They have so many cute pairs like this one and this one. Aria was so excited when she saw the dinosaur. That girl and her dinosaurs..she is obsessed.
Books are important for not only educational purposes, but for the parents sanity. We have instilled a love for books in Aria since she was in my womb. I read to my belly, and as soon as she was born I read to her. Night after night I would read to her, let her see the colors, words, and pictures.
She has been partial to 5 books lately. We have to read them over and over again. Which is fine, repetition is important with little kids. This is what helps them retain the information. It gives them a rhythm to replicate.
- The True Story of the Three Little Pigs
- That’s Not my Dragon
- Cloudy with of Chance of Meatballs
- Oh no, George!
Each one of these books has been a favorite throughout each stage of her life. That’s not my Dragon was one of her first favorites as a young child. She loved feeling the different textures and colors.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs was a favorite of mine as a child, so when I found this book as a board book I had to buy it and read part of my childhood to my daughter. She loves the food references, and the fun pictures. We read this around winter and she kept telling me she wanted to go sledding on the mashed potato mountain. It helped her imagination soar.
Of course there are nights where Aria hides and wants nothing to do with going to bed. To avoid trauma and tears we sometimes just have to go with it. So we play hide and “sneak” for 10 minutes. Pick your battles mama’s they are only young once, even if your exhausted just go with it.
Thank you again to Jojo Maman Bebe I truly love their products and I have a few cute toys in my basket for Aria’s Christmas. I love finding new companies with quality products.
