My favorite fall style involves wine colors, ruffles and a loose sweater vest.
Fall, the time to layer up! I love layering pieces together that you normally wouldn’t pair together. A chic ruffle top normally is tucked into a pencil skirt and paired with heels.
I wanted to style it with a trendy vest and large floppy hat. The layers add such a fun style to the outfit. The cascading hem of the sweater is really flattering to any body type.
Mixing neutrals is another fabulous way to amp up an outfit. Since I am wearing dark skinny jeans that have little specks of black. I tie the black in my vest to my jeans. The grey boots pull the dark grey in my sweater vest together. By adding the wine top I am able to introduce a pop of color to the outfit.
I have followed Rachel Parcell’s blog since almost right when she started. Her style is just so chic and well put together. She released her own line of clothing a year or so ago. As much as I loved the line it was a tad pricey for my budget.
A month or so ago she released an everyday style collection that were more affordable pieces she has hand picked from merchandisers. I saw this ruffle sleeve top and really fell in love with the color and the price. It has been really fun to style and pair with different things.
I mentioned before I saw a pair of Nordstrom boots and couldn’t afford them so I found almost an exact dupe for it on Jane. Well same thing happened with these boots. I love the Taggert boots from Nordstrom but just couldn’t shell out the cash. Jane had a pair much like them and I grabbed them for just $26. I know the quality is significantly different, but the style aspect is the same.
