Good Morning Friends,
We are slowly inching our way towards finishing the play room. Decor is expensive you guys and it is hard to find exactly what you want when your on a budget but I am on a mission!
Thank you to Lorena Canals for providing our Happy Days rug from their new collection Oh Joy!
Let’s get started!
We finished this little nook in our play room, of course I want to add more but this will work for now.
Aria loves books! She has a huge library thanks to both her Grandmas, and her mom. I get so sick of the same book over and over so if we have an abundant library we have more to choose from. We got this cubby from Ikea and filled it with all her books. She has books in pretty much every room in the house so this doesn’t even cover half her library. We would need like four more cubbies to display everything.
Underneath the cubbies I wanted a nice soft rug for Aria to lay on and read. She loves to lay on her stomach with a stuffed animal or cat and read stories to them. I remember as a kid in kindergarten we would sit on a giant comfortable rug while our teacher read us stories. It was such a magical time, I wanted to kind of bring that into the room for Aria. I found this rug at Loren Canals, and fell in love with it. It is soft and machine washable so if any spills happen just throw it in the washer. I love the Oh Joy! collection they just released. I got the the Happy Day rug and love the happy vibes it brings to Aria’s play room.
This room will be a tribal/jungle theme so I will be adding more and more to the walls. For now these cute feather paintings on either side of the tv. We got them on clearance from Hobby Lobby and I love how they look in this room.
So that is this section of the play room. For the other sides I see everyone using wooden letters to spell out “PLAY”. Since it’s a jungle, tribal room I want to use wooden letters to spell out “GET WILD”. We all know it get’s wild in those play rooms.
I also want to make a chalkboard wall so kids can color on that and decorate that.
I would love to see your play room ideas! Send them to me on facebook.
