Good Morning Friends!
This week I am talking to you about how to reinvent your closet, to get more for your money. I am a girl who loves to get creative and shop her closet.
Don’t be afraid to treat yourself once in a while, but when you do shop look for items like the ones I have shown you so you can style, restyle, and restyle over and over to get more for your budget.
Today I am restyling this cardigan that I love. I only paid $16 for this cardigan and I have already styled this with 3 different outfits. Getting my money’s worth already. I have over 3 more outfits I can style this with as well. That is over 7 outfits with one item.
Because it is a neutral I get a lot more out of it. When shopping for pieces like a long cardigan and your budget allows only one, get a neutral. Black, brown, grey or white. If your budget allows you to get two grab a trendy color or pattern.
When shopping for shoes to be restyled the same rule applies, go for neutral. I love the cut-out details in this shoe. The open toe makes this shoe both summer, spring and fall appropriate. Shopping for shoes that translates through the seasons is another great way to stretch your dollar.
With a neutral shoe like this, you can style it with jeans, dresses, and skirts of all colors and patterns. This not only helps stretch your wallet but you styling opportunities with just one pair of shoes. This helps when you’re also going for a minimalist closet. When shopping think of not only one outfit to style them with think of at least three in your closet. If you can’t wear it multiple times, and your budget is tight pass on the shoe. There’s no point in wasting your money if you can only wear them once.
I hope some of these tips helped you shop, and extend the use of what you have.
