Plan your trip
The first time I ever went shopping for high-end makeup was for my wedding. I walked into Ulta and was completely overwhelmed by the massive amounts of makeup. Before that moment I just ordered Avon makeup from my mom.
I found a quiet corner and mapped out my plan. Shop for makeup as you would apply it. For example, I start with skincare. Here is how I shop.
Search for:
-Skincare (face wash, moisturizer, toner)
-Eye Makeup (primer, brows, shadow, liner, mascara, brow gel)
-Face Makeup (primer, foundation, concealer, blush, bronzer, setting spray)
-Lips (gloss, lipstick)
Now you don’t have to shop for all these at the same time unless it is your first time. Your first time buying makeup will always be the most expensive because you’re starting from scratch. After you have a base collection all you do is replenish what you run out of.
I always suggest making a list and researching before purchasing an item. Youtube is a great resource to see how the makeup looks, read the reviews of each item you plan out. So the 21 days of beauty has daily sales and hot buys. Each day will have a different sale. You can grab a guide at any local Ulta or find it online, or you can shop from the ones below. Circle each item you want to purchase and set a reminder on your phone. These items do go fast so order quickly. I will take you through the ad and show you how to shop it, but my favorite thing about the sale is the daily sales.

New Items I have on my list
I always try to add one or two new items to my list that I haven’t tried before or that has just been released. Too Faced is a cruelty-free brand that I LOVE! They came out with a Tutti Frutti line I am dying to try.
Too Faced has some amazing products, my favorite their shadow primer. That stuff will make your eyeshadow stay in place all day. I am on my 5th tube and they look little but a little goes a long way!
If you are shopping Cruelty-Free be sure to research before going, and there is a difference between Cruelty-Free and Vegan. Vegan products will contain no animal product, Cruelty-Free just means it doesn’t test on animals but could contain animal product.

Before you check out
Before checking out online or in-store check for available coupons, or bogo’s. I know this sale they have skincare and makeup mini’s buy three get one free.
Browse through the add and look for the little circles with the free gift logo inside it. Check all those against your shopping list to see if you qualify for a free gift and mark it on your sheet in case the salesperson forgets, or you don’t see it added to your cart. This is a great time to stock up on free items to try before you buy.
There are also free gifts at the bottom of the page on the add. Hunt for those they are great ways to experiment with makeup and see if you find a new product you love, without paying the price for it.
