December..the most stressful month of the year. Searching for a gift that isn’t just a thing, but something with a meaning. Something that you can give a person that will make them cry, or touch them in a way that brings a certain spirit back to Christmas.
Now the gift I will be giving Aria that is along those lines is a gift she won’t get until she is 18 but it will take me that long to finish it.
I was browsing Instagram the other day and Promptly Journals popped up on my feed. Normally I keep on scrolling but I happened to be interested in it. When I landed on the sight I knew this is the gift I had been looking for. I was searching for something that I could do for Aria that is something like a family record, or book of memories. This is both.
You are recording your Childs life from the “womb to 18 years old”.
Now you are probably like Cayli, how much are these books, and I will be up front and honest more than I wanted to spend. I did shop their Black Friday sale so I didn’t pay full price, they are a bit pricey. However, they are so worth it. There is so much meaning to the book and it will make such an amazing gift for a child. Something I would have loved to give.
Aria will get a book of my experiences with her through my pregnancy, my thoughts and Brandons if he chooses to participate. There are places for pictures, footprints, ideas for their future. Literally this book has been methodically planned out to every detail.
The book is a hard bound book with a book mark. They come in a few different colors and they are absolutely gorgeous.
When you first open the book you see an insert attached to the cover that describes this book perfectly from the creator of the book.
“As a busy mom of two, I tend to be forgetful. I felt the need to record my children lives for fear that the precious details and hilarious stories would fade away.
I wanted a beautiful place to keep their memories all safe. I also wanted a system that would be meaningful, yet easy so I would actually complete it for each child.”
This is accurate. The prompts are easy to follow. I wish I had this for Aria right away, because there are things I can’t remember. Luckily I have had recorded a lot of info in my personal journal.
I would love to know what are some meaningful gifts you will be giving this year?
