Good Morning Friends,
I am ashamed to admit this is the first time Aria has been to a Library. She has so many books at my house and her Grandma’s its almost the same as a library. She had so much fun. I was able to go with my cute friend Abby and we shot pictures and played with the kiddos.
One book that I always loved reading as a kid was. It was almost fate that it was out in the open on one of the shelves. I grabbed it and started reading to Aria.
The book really got me addicted to reading. It transported me to another place, and I imagined everything in that book so vividly. So when I sat down and relived that experience I felt all those feelings I felt as a kid. The excitement of adventure.
I love that Aria has that love for books as well. Every time we are in a store she goes to the toys or to the books. I would like to say she always goes to books first but she’s obsessed with ponies right now so unless she see’s a pony book she heads to the pony aisle.
After reading Aria Jumanji I realized I didn’t own it! All those years of me spent in a library reading that book I never realized I didn’t even own it. Yay for Amazon.
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs was another book I was obsessed with. There is something about a book that is so imaginative and really just takes your imagination to another level.
As I got older I got more and more into books that would require a vivid imagination to follow along. Beautiful Creatures was such a dark, but beautiful story that really kept my imagination alive as I got older.
Books I have yet to read but love when they have done for kids imaginations are books like Harry Potter, Lord or the Rings and The Hobbit. Those books got a lot of non readers into reading, I love when a book can do that.
What books have transformed your imagination?
