Good Morning Friends,
I love doing hair, I almost went to school to be a hair stylist. When I found out Aria was a girl I was so excited for all the hairstyles I could try on her. She has gorgeous long hair that is fun to play with. I was never good at doing my own hair but I can do others hair fairly decent. Am I a pro? No but that’s why we try to keep hairstyles cute but easy around here.
Today I am starting out with Aria’s favorite hairstyle. She always asks me for double hair buns. They are so cute and so simple to do.
Let’s get started.
Step 1:
Brush through hair to get out any tangles. This not only helps the buns and parting process. It is a little softer on little sensitive heads.
Step 2:
Wet down hair and part it down the middle. We love the flarisol bottles for this because they give a continuous flow. I will link it below it is a must have for styling hair.
Step 3:
Put hair into a ponytail and fold it under once. Secure with a hair tie. Aria has thick hair so we use a thick hair tie. If your little one has thinner hair you can use the clear elastics.
Step 4:
Wrap the extra hair around the hair elastic and secure with a bobby pin. I double bobby pin this and add a little hairspray to get the bobby pins to stay in place.
Step 5:
Now make the bun messy by placing hair around the pony tail and securing with a bobby pin and hairspray. I gently tug and pull the hair different ways to give it volume and that messy bun look.
Do the same to the other side. Your buns will not be exactly the same. They are messy and unique that is what makes them a cute hairstyle.
See this is such a simple and easy hairstyle for your little girl. Once you perfect it, it will take you less than 10 minutes. I can do this hairstyle in 5. The only time consuming part of this is getting the buns to look how you want. Basically they are messy buns divided in half.
