Good Morning Friends!
I have been obsessed with makeup from the ripe age of 4. Playing with eyeshadow had always been a hobby of mine. Blending the colors, finding colors to compliment each other and my eyes. It is such a therapeutic routine for me to get up and do my makeup.
Each morning I have a limited amount of time to get ready before Aria is awake and I have a list of things to get done before then. My makeup routine has to be quick, but efficient. Most days I go for my neutral 15-minute look. When I have time I like to make a more dramatic look by amping up the colors. I created a poll on my instastories the other day and you all wanted to see my 15-minute neutral look so that is what we are doing today!
COVERGIRL just recently became cruelty-free and I could not be more excited to try the NEW COVERGIRL Premium Eye Shadow Palettes at Walmart. There are four gorgeous pallets.
I was sent three of these four pallets and they are so beautiful. The packaging artwork is incredible with a small compact size fit for travel.
COVERGIRL Ascension Eye Shadow Palette:
Ascension is a romantic pallet with soft cool-tone shades. I love the shade tulle, loyalty, and queen to be. I am a sucker for neutral browns and these are all pigmented and easy to blend. With a mix of shimmer and matte, you have so many options with this pallet.
COVERGIRL Reign Eye Shadow Palette:
Reign has the most beautiful, vibrant shimmering shades fit for royalty. Forever yours is a deep gorgeous purple that is beautiful for the lower lash line for a gorgeous, colorful, smokey eye look. My favorite shade of the pallet is “Prerogative”. A shimmering gold shade that looks beautiful blended out with “Next of Kin”. There is a mix of shimmering and matte shades.
COVERGIRL Revolution Eye Shadow Palette:
Even though my tutorial today is with the Ascension Eye Shadow Palette, Revolution is my favorite of the bunch due to three colors. “Dare”, “Ruthless”, and “Showdown”, are the most beautiful shades of the collection. The burnt orange tones, and deep Burgundy reds. They are my absolute favorites and look amazing for a dramatic look for a girls night out, or a hot date.
COVERGIRL Overthrown Eye Shadow Palette:
I didn’t get to try this one but saw it in the beauty aisle of Walmart. Overthrown was made for smokey eye looks. With the smoky green and cobalt blues, this one would be fun for a full glam look.
Now let’s get started!
First prime your eyes with a primer or whatever concealer you love. This not only helps the shadow stick but helps keep the true vibrant colors of these amazing, pigmented shadows.
*Fun trick use a piece of tape to create a foolproof cat eye*
After laying down a primer I like to set it with a lighter shadow. So I will grab “Bliss” and put this all over the lid.
Next, I take a fluffy blending brush to blend “Queen to Be” in the outer corner blending back and forth.
In the outer corner, I take a stiff brush and dot on a darker color. I love “Truffles” in this area. After dotting on it on blending it in slightly. Then pick up your fluffy brush with “Queen to Be” and blend that out.
Now take “Bliss” and pat that back over the inner corner of the eye and add a little bit of “Tulle” over that.
Line with your favorite liner.
To Finish off the look
Now for the lower lash line, I line with a liner and smoke it out with “Truffles”, and “Loyalty”.
Top of with mascara and your favorite foundation routine.
This whole look took me 15 minutes.
