Good Morning Friends!!
Easter is coming up soon! I finally was on top of things this year and go Aria’s basket all shopped for and put together way before Easter.
This year I wanted to focus playtime, how to make it more magical, how to keep it going while we travel, and how to bottle up that imagination for days to come. That is what I wanted to focus on for this years basket. Now we don’t do candy because she gets candy from all the Easter egg hunts.
Let’s Get Started!
The Basket
They have premade baskets at Target, Walmart, Costco, Sams Club, I have even seen them at the dollar store if you really are on a tight budget.
Now for the baskets themselves we got ours at Hobby Lobby, but haven’t shopped there in a while. Target has some really adorable baskets for under $15 as well. My most favorite place to shop for them has to be the Target Dollar Spot.
Paint
Aria loves to paint and create. We right now have acrylic paints, but they are so messy! We found these really amazing painbrush pens from Target that promote proper writing grip. Not to mention they are WASHABLE.
So this was the first item I wanted for her basket. It will help her creativity soar!
Busy Books
I live by these books, they are beyond amazing inventions for you Childs imagination. Not only is it the story of their favorite movie, it comes with characters to act out the story on a playmat. Everything comes inside this book for often under $10. We have the Princess book, the Pony Movie book and for Easter she will be getting the Coco book. Amazon has these books, Costco, and TJMaxx. That is where I have seen them so if you have seen them elsewhere please comment below.
Mad Mattr
This stuff is magically and better than playdoh. Magical kinetic sand meets the best of play doh. The quantum pods are super hard to find here in Utah. My sister will pick some up for me in California, and you can always order the bags. But the pods are the best. This stuff is magic and therapeutic.
Water Wow Books
These are the best toys for travel. All you need is water to make these work. They are the greatest invention for quiet time. We will be using these for our trip to Disney this year. The best place to get these is Amazon because they always have them.
Target has them but they sell out so quickly and they are not in the toys, they are over in the paints section.
Hatchimals
Aria is obsessed with Hatchimals. She loves playing with them in her castles or playhouse. They often have dance parties to the song “This songs gonna get stuck inside your heeeaadd”. They have so many cute Easter packs. I have found them the cheapest at Micheal’s in the toy section on clearance.
Books
You know we give books to Aria for every occasion. Every occasion I can, I will give Aria a book or two. My favorite place to shop for kids books is Seagull. Do not let the fact its a religious store scare you away. Go to the back and raid the cute book tables. They are under $5 a book and they are adorable!
Also Amazon is another amazing place for books.
