Good Morning Friends!
Amazon, the greatest gift to us home shoppers. Free two day shipping, easy returns, you know the glory. Just recently I started shopping for clothes on Amazon. Now since you have independent sellers on Amazon, a lot of which are wholesale companies giving you that really good deal you HAVE TO CHECK AND DOUBLE CHECK the description.
I have so many tips for helping you with shopping for the perfect fit, and an item that will help you avoid a return. That is why I shop and give you my honest opinions on these items so you can shop without doubt.
Let’s get to the tips!
Always check where the item is coming from. Asian companies tend to have much smaller sizes, even if they claim they are a size 10 and such. If they are coming from there check reviews and their sizing chart. Know your exact measurements because that also really helps when browsing the size guide.
Let the reviews be your guide, I always browse the reviews for pictures and people who are my size so I get a better sense of the fit. Also when you find an item you like, leave a detailed review for others.
Read the good the bad and the ugly. It will help you make a well rounded view of the product. And make sure the item comes with the awesome Amazon return policy.
Now like I said above, check the return policy. Some sellers don’t have free returns, or returns at all. Make sure you read the full description of returns. This has helped me from having to keep something I don’t want.
Find an item in your closet that you love to wear. Look at what the fabric is and the blend. Take into account what fabrics you dislike the fit of. I love stretch and comfort so I am always looking for some type of cotton blend. Know your favorites, know your least favorites. Take note and shop accordingly.
When reading reviews note the fit. Often there will be a bar that says items runs small, true to size, large. Note this if the item runs large size down, if the item runs small size up. Like I said above check that size chart and the reviews. Those reviews are really your guide to knowing how this item will fit. Check for people who are the same height and size. Height is a factor in this because a size 7 on a 5’8 person is a much different fit than a size 7 on a 5’2 person.
Last of all check to see if an item is Prime or not. One thing I hate is finding a cute top that will take a month or two to get to my house. By then it may be a different season.
