Good Morning Friends,
Your daily makeup routine can really be whatever you want. Whatever you have time for. As a mom of a very busy child I have little time to get ready so I have to make it work quickly.
Let’s get Started:
Prep and Prime
You want your skin moisturized and primed before anything I like to prime my face and eyes at the same time. You can use concealor or your favorite primer. I will list my favorites below.
Brows
Brows are the foundation of your eye look. A nice sculpted brow is a perfect companion to your eye look. I do this first so that I can sculpt and clean up my brow without worrying about messing up my shadow.
Eyes
I like to start off with my eyes so I can clean up any of my mess ups and clean up my liner. Some days you just lack the ability to do a clean winged liner. If I did my foundation before it would get wiped away during clean up of my lines and eyeshadow has fallout. It’s just so much easier to do yours eyes first. Fast days I put on a flesh tone color and then in my crease swipe on a light brown and do a quick winged liner. On days I have more time I blend neutrals a little more dramatically, and do a more dramatic wind liner. If you struggle with getting a clean line I love (these) eye shields.
Conceal
Next I conceal my under eyes, and any places that need some evening out. I love (this) concealer, my favorite used to be shape tape but started to dry out my skin. Once I feel that my skin is all evened out I move on to foundation.
Foundation
I have finally found my perfect foundation combination. This Jcat powder foundation was a shocking surprise because I have the driest of dry skin and I would have never thought to try powder foundation. Not only does this melt into my skin it takes 5 minutes for me to brush on and it sets my makeup all day. I cannot hype this stuff enough I love how my bronzer and highlighters look over the foundation.
Bronzer and Highlight
I got this amazing pallet in PR (my only ever), and I use it all day everyday. The colors are gorgeous and they blend like a dream. The best part is it’s drugstore and inexpensive. I usually take a few seconds to swipe it on and go. If I am going for more dramatic look it takes a few minutes longer but not much.
Set and go
I just use a setting spray (love this one) and fan it dry for a few seconds and I am good to go. The quickest I am able to do my makeup is about 15 minutes. Of course you can cut this down if removes any of these steps.
