I love sharing all my favorite shopping tips to save money. We are a one income family and I need to be smart how I delegate our funds. When I go shopping I always hit the clearance racks first. You can often find some really good pieces for such good prices.
One tip is to find stores that do clearance sales with in season items. Stores often do these to move inventory instead of clearing out for a new season. My Sister’s Closet does this often! Today actually they have a 50% off clearance sale. With them you always have in season options. You can buy cute soft sweaters and warm pieces.
Another great place for clearance sales is Old Navy. I have been able to find baby clothes there for .50, and tops for myself for $2. Clearance sales are huge.
Like I said earlier, My Sister’s Closet always has amazing clothes on clearance. Let me show you some of my favorites from their clearance section.
I find that in store clearance sales are usually better. You have a better variety for the big chains. With smaller boutiques the online stock and in store stock are usually the same. When you are in store you get a better sense of what you are getting and usually clearance items are final sales. Make sure you still love it and don’t just buy it because its inexpensive.
The same shopping rules still apply to the clearance pieces. Can you style it three ways, do you already own something like it and will you still be involve with it in a year.
Make sure your classic pieces outweigh you’re trendy pieces. When you mix the two you get even more out of your closet.
Now that you know my shopping tips for clearance sales how do you shop sales?
