Good Morning Friends! When I had Aria I had to have all the things to make parenting easier. Now, almost 6 years later things have drastically improved. So I will compare what I had with Aria to what I got for little man. It’s amazing what a few years can do with baby products.
Let’s get started.
Baby Carrier
With Aria I had the Boba Wrap, and I really did like it. It was a bit of a process to wrap it up and get Aria into it. Especially when she was crying. She was always comfortable once in it and it was really comfortable to wear. I found this Konny baby wrap. There’s no wrapping involved you just slide it on and its already tied. Just add baby.
The Konny is $69
The Boba is $39
Baby Monitor
I really liked the first monitor we had the Infant Optics DXR-5 (discontinued). It had its quirks, but I loved how it alerted us when the battery was dying and how it picked up sound. It was fairly inexpensive, didn’t use wifi and had decent picture quality.
The one I got for little man is the VAVA. So far it is excellent. I can control the position of the camera from the monitor, talk through it and adjust volume and lighting. The display has the time, battery life, and temperature of the room. We have two cameras one for little man and one for Aria. She still has nightmares and I like to keep track of her room temp at night. The monitor scans both cameras every 15 seconds so I can see both rooms and watch both kiddos.
The Infant Optics was $79 (newer version here)
The Vava is $159
Stroller
There are so many fancy strollers out on the market. Expensive and top of the line. I like simple and easy and budget friendly. With Aria we had a Graco stroller I can’t remember the type or model it was but the wheels were garbage. We loved the car seat that it came with though.
For this baby I did more research and found the Graco room for two stroller. It will allow little man to ride up front and Aria to ride sitting or standing right behind.
First Stroller and Car seat was: $249
Graco Room for Two Stroller: $149 (Car seat not included) (Car seat here)
Breast Pump
My First breast pump wasn’t horrible but it was a freebie from my insurance. It was a really basic model with a really short cord. I was always plugged two feet in from the wall and it wasn’t always comfortable. But it worked and it did that job.
This time around I did get a freebie from my insurance, but I am also saving for a wireless option. I compared so many options and really liked the Elvie. It will be nice to be able to pump on the go. Going on walks, picking up Aria from dance etc. Also it will be so nice to pump from my bed before its time to sleep without being stuck to the wall.
