My cute sister and mom threw me a cute shower this past weekend. I honestly did not think I would have one due to Covid and having to be extremely careful. I haven’t been to a store or really any public places since late march. It was so nice my people again. We kept it really small and it was actually really really fun.
Let’s get started.
What is a Drive by Baby Shower?
So essentially people would drive up and we would chat a little and they got to spin a prize wheel and we handing out little party favors. We wore masks and decorated the front of my house. It essentially is a great way to have a shower and keep safe during the pandemic.
The decorations were beyond adorable. My mom and sister really did such a good job at keeping things cute, simple and festive. They put a banner on the garage door for a photo op for me, hung a cute banner at my door and had these really cute baby block balloon boxes. That way we weren’t fighting with balloons blowing away or popping.
Games/Prizes and Favors
Now I am not a huge fan of games at showers but the game my sister and mom planned was right up my ally. All they had to do was spin the wheel. We had gift bags with bath bombs, lotion, or amazon gift cards inside. You spin the wheel and you would get a gift bag or gift card. It was so cute, simple and easy to disinfect things.
The favors were perfect. From the boxes to the personalized stickers. It was just all so well thought out and really really fun. Inside she had a shower vapor, which smells amazing, a Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer, and some chocolates. My sister shopped from some really cute Etsy shops to support small businesses right now and it was just thoughtful and well planned. Her and my mom really did such a good job.
When doing your own drive by shower or party keep things simple and fun. We had masks handy, and lots of hand sanitizer to make it safe for me and for everyone driving by. It was such a fun shower!
Thanks again to those who were able to come. We kept is small small for safety and so many wonderful people turned out to support us.
A huge thank you to my mom and sisters for coming up with such a cute shower! Thank you guys.
